East West Performing Arts Center will have a theater and a concert hall, a small hall, a cinema, a gallery, libraries, and other ancillary premises.
This way, Sarajevo will finally get a modern cultural center like other European cities. In the past several decades, Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljana and other cities of the region have developed a serious cultural infrastructure, having built a number of representative cultural centers, while Sarajevo was not able to do anything in this respect in the past half a century. Not a single cultural venue has been built in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the time of Josip Broz Tito.
Soon, together with the City of Geneve we will launch an international competition for the conceptual design for the East West Performing Arts Center. The opening of the new building of the East West Perfroming Arts Center is expected by the end of 2013.
