Imaginary trial on Marlene Dietrich, the film megastar who rejected Hitler’s offer to become the queen of films in the Third Reich and joined the US Army instead. She entertained the troupes on the frontline that came to beat Hitler and liberate Europe. The three young conservative prosecutors accuse Marlene Dietrich of treason and libertinism.
Mirjana Karanović, the biggest Balkan film and theater diva, plays Marlene with depth and personal experience in the past 30 years in ex-Yugoslavia that in many ways mirrors Marlene’s destiny. Karanović also sings some of Marlen’s most emblematic songs, including “Lily Marlene” and “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”
